Today after class i finished so stressed because the test. I felt that the time went so fast. I think that time is my worse enemy during a test. At the begining of a test i feel really confident about myself, but when time passes i get stressed and it makes me do bad in my tests. It never happened to me before, but i feel it is happing now that i'm studing in English. After the test i practiced the reading test on the internet. I hope it helps me for my test tomorrow.

This weekend was really busy for me. I had to work a lot because i had many customers at the salon where i work. Everybody was crasy because mothers' day. All mothers wanted to be so beautiful, that way they'll be ready if their husbands invited them to go out. Sunday after i worked, me and my husband invited my mother in law to have dinner. We went to a Portuguese restaurant. That restaurant is so good. She was so exited end also enjoyed the food. I would have liked to be in that restaurant with my mom but it wasn't possible. The only thing that i could do was to call her and wish her a happy mothers' day. life is so weird we can't have everything we want all the time.

Yesterday i was a little afraid about penni but i realized that she was not as big as i thought. The first moment that i saw her she showed us tha she was so friendly. I liked her a lot and i think we had a good time. i liked when Florence spoke about her. It looked that Florence love Penni so much. It is also good that Florence cares about disable people. I think that she is a nice person who has a big heart to help others.

I hope it is not late to write my blog. It is just 12. I liked the quotation that all of you guys did today. All of you did it really well because you guys spoke clearly and I could understand very good. I also liked the one that Fernanda did because it was similar to the one that i'm going to do tomorrow. It is about being nice with others in order that they to be the same with us. She said that in her job there were some people who were not nice with her at the begining, but at the end they changed. It made me remember when i got the job that i have now there were also some people that weren't nice with me . They weren't friendly with me, end they even talked to me. It was a little difficult for me, but i realized that i didn't go there to have friends. i thought the only reazon to be there was all about money. I tryed to do well my job and also i ignored them. I know that there are many crazy people who have their problems and as Fernanada said, "I never let those things to bother me" Do you know what happen few days later? They started being friendly with me, and also they liked my job a lot, so they asked me to do their hair. I was surprised but i knew that people are sensitive, therefore i was nice to them. {When i was cutting their hair i wanted to cut their neck but i didn't. kidding} They became my friends and they invited me to have lunch. After all, i think that people are negative but we should try to be positive and nice. One day people will realize that being nice is better y it makes everybody happy.

I'm happy because classes are almost done. I think that after classes i'm going to work a couple of months to save money and to go to my country. Every day i think when i go back to my country. I came here two years ago, and i haven't gone back yet. I haven't gone because since i arrived here i've been studying a lot. First i started studying English and After a couple of months i got my GED even thought i finished highschool in my country. By having GED was good because i learned more English and math. IT was the reason that i passed math when i first took placement test in NCC. I think that after class i'm going to take time off to travel. I'm so ancious to see my family again ,and share with them all the things that have happened to me here. Also i want to be with them because when we leave our countries we loose the opportunity to share many things with the family we leave there. I wish i could do whatever i want.

The viedeo that we watched in class shoked me a lot. I never thouhg that humans waste this huge amound of things durant our life. This is the first time that i study really well the glovalwarming . For me this semester was not only a English class, it was also an Environmental class. I think it is an interesting way of learning English.

As some of you guys said, classes are almost finish. Time goes so quikly and in a couple of weeks we are going to have the test again. Everybody has worked hard, but we don't know what's going to happen. the only thing tha we have to do is to keep working hard and to be positive the most we can because actually we don't have another option.

Today i feel good because it's already friday. Tonigh i'm going to have dinner in a restaurant with my husband. He invited me, and i don't have to cook tonigh. I only cook monday to friday because i'm working on weekends. I love to go to Italian restaurants. May be we are going to olive garden. This is a good restaurant but there are many people waiting for a table. Most of the restaurants are the same on weekens and it extresses me up. I think that after dinner i'm going to the mall. I already want to star buying summer clothing. I hope to do a big shopping.

Tonigh i almost forgot to write in the blog because after school i went to the supermarket to buy some food. Even thouhgt it was raining i had to go because it were many days without going to the supermarket. I had many things to buy. I hadn't gone because i don't have a car to go wherever i want so i have to wait for my husban to go together. Neather i like to go alone to any place. I prefer to go with him wherever i go. Even though i drive, and sometimes i borrow his car, i don't like to go by myself because i still get nervous when there is so much traffic. It happens to me because i just learn how to drive one year ago. But i'm already looking for a car. I'm pretty sure that i need it.

Today i did not have a good day in the school because i didnot feel weel. I had a strong headache during the class, and it didn't let me concentrate and participate during the class. however i didn't have other option than stay in class. I like that Christina called each one of us to talk about our mistakes and the best way to correct them. I think that is good to know what are exatly the problems that we are having. I think that in the next couples of week we can try to improve our grammar. I neither like that rainy day but the good thin is that i feel better now. i don't feel sick any more. I hope feel better tomorrow.

This friday after class i went to the movies with fernanda and nelson. we saw an action movie, its name is " fast and furious". I think most of you have seen it before. we had a good time. the movie was so good and also the popcorn we had. we ate alot of this during the movie. i think that we should go again to the movies, and i'd like that all of you guys could go with us. i'll tell you a week before, that way you'll be ready to go because I don't want any of you to miss it. So i'll let you know. I' like to do it before we to finish class.

New point of view toward animals

Now after have studied about animals for the whole week, i appreciate them a little more. I loved the video that we watched today because i learned how important are animals for humans. I learned that we venifit a lot from animals because they are really helpful for humans in didfferent ways. I did not know how important they are before, but since today i will try to consider them as important and intelligent as they are. I also realized that animals are really good friends for humans. I hadn't thought in the possibility of having one pet, but now, i'm goint to star thinking if i get one. I think that a pet will help me to improve my reading, as i saw in the video, kidding. If any of you guys see a beautiful and small dog, please tell me. I feel that i don't want to be without a pet any more. I would like to have one for the rest of my live, forever.

Today i had a good day because first at all, i had class again. I love being in the school. After class i went to the writing center. i usually go to the writing center in the morning and have a good tutor, she is a teacher. But today i met a new male teacher that somebody recomended me. He is a night tutor and he is really good. I first met him and i liked the way he made corrections in the writings i showed him. He told me how to write a good essay and also told me that my writing was good. I also liked him because he game some grammar copies that i'm sure will help me to improve my skill. I left late school ,and the other good thing was that i didn't have to cook because when i was just leaving school my mother in law called me to have diner in her house. It was good because i was stressed out, and The food was good. I love to go to the writing center because they have helped me a lot. That way i feel more confident when i think about the test. The tutors also teach good things that teachers don't teach, i think it is because teachers have many estudents and do not have enough time to teach personally to each one of us. But i like that Christina is doing as tutors do. I recomend you guys to go to the writing center. They give you guys good ideas that you all can not learn in the class.

Hi everydody

Today i had a god day because a friend came to visit me. She is from my country and i met her when i just arrived here. we enjoyed a lot because we always talk about what is going on in our lifes. I like her friendship because she understans me and gives me avice when i have some problems. Sometimes we go dancing and shopping and we have so much fun. For me, the best is share with some friends. I also enjoy a lot with you guys at the school.

Today i'm at home watching tv and sleping. I have watched many movies. I like comedy and drama movies. I like to watch movies because I practice my listening. I also like to put subtitles to understand more the movie. I remember two years ago when I just came, I didn't understand tv. It was so difficult for me. I remember that many people toldme to watch tv in English, but after a cople of minutes i was so eslepy and i had to turn back to spanish chanels. Now i feel better because understand more.

Hi guys, Today i'm at home because we finally didn't go to the place we were suppossed to go. Saima told me that they decided not to go because today it was going to be a bad day. So i didn't have other option than stay home. I'll call my family to ask them what is going on in my country. I think that i'll wach a lot of movies because now i have enough time to do it. Sometimes when i have to go to class i start waching movies but i can't finish waching them because i have to go to college. I miss alot stay in class. I prefer to be in class rather than being at home. I don't like to be at home the whole day because i get depressed. If i had my family here it would be really good for my to have vacation. It is the reason which i prefer school because i have fun with my friens and i also learn English.

I'm very happy because i'll have a lot of free time next week. The first thing tha i'm going to do is going shopping. It has been a long time that i haven't gone. I haven't done it because during the week i go to study, and on weekens i'm working. When i go shopping i like to stay many hours doing it. I always take a lot of time thinking if i really like that i'm going to buy. I also like to eat something, end after that, i continue my shopping. I really enjoy it because i always ask a friend to go with me. Also, I will have time to go somewhere with my friends. I really like the idea that we have with Saima and others classmates about going to the Statue of liberty. I hope we can go there because i have always wanted to go there. It will be my first time, and i'm sure we are going to have lots of fun. So guys see you next week.

This week we have talked about pets. It made me remember when i was a little child and my family had alot of pets. Many of my pets had babies. It was really beautiful to see my pets' babies. They were so cute. Me and my siblings used to played a lof with those little pets instead of toys. I like pets but i don't have any now. I don't have any because i don't have enouhg time to take care of them. when i had them it was because my mom liked to take care of them. The only thing that i did was only to ply with them. Maybe in the future i would like to have a pet. I think that people really enjoy having pets at home. Also after reading in clase i realized that having them is goog for owr health.

Today when we were on class i finished with headache. For me it was a busy day because we did a lot in class. First we did writing, and i wrote a lot. I liked this topic because it's like writing about myself. We have been talking about culture and immigration. I think it's a easy topic because we are an example of immigration. As a immigrant person i have a lot to write about it. I can understand many reasons why people come here every day. I always make many friends who have come from different countries and I like to ask them why they came here. I also liked the reading about being in a new country, that we just did in class. When i was reading this articles it was like riding my own history. It made me remember the firts days when i arrived here. It was the reason which i liked and i understand the topic very well. I love that kind of topics because when we have to write i dont have any problem to do it. I also like to write a lot because that way my teacher helps me how to make corrections in my writing.

This weekend I had good time. Friday night i went to a good restaurant with my husband. The food was very good. Saturday night, after my job, i went to see a famuose orchestra from Puerto Rico. The orchestra's name is EL GRAN DE PUERTORICO. I had a good time because I was with some friens. After that we went to a Colombian restaurant. The food was really good. I like to go aut with friends end have fun on weekends.

TODAY CLASS

Today we talked about dead people. When we talked about it, I remembered when I have been in moments like this with friends or with family. I got a little nervous because I'm afraid of dead people. I hope I don't dream about them tonight, because sometimes when I see a movie or have discussion about anyone that is dead I tend to dream about it.
